Fourth Class 2022
The children in Fourth Class had their school tour in Oysterhaven where they did kayaking, rafting, moonwalk and jungle quest land activities. They had a brilliant day and represented WNS really well!
Global Citizenship and the Marine Environment Action Day
The theme for our Action Day was marine life. All of the children in Walterstown NS dressed up to celebrate this theme. Sea creatures, pirates, fish, deep sea divers and whales were just some of the costumes which could be seen around the school.
3rd to 6th class enjoyed a trip to the beach and the younger classes were busy doing arts and crafts based on the ocean.
We would like to give a special thanks to the PA who organised an ice cream van for the children on this day!
Beach Clean Up 4th-6th Class
We had a great morning with beautiful weather and we are very proud of our pupils for their hard work and excellent behaviour. Well done!
Green-Schools Committee
We are going to apply for our 8th Green Flag for Global Citizenship and the Marine Environment in April. All classes will be doing a variety of lessons, projects and experiments on the theme of Marine Litter over the next six weeks.
