WNS Christmas Concert 2023
Our annual Christmas concert took place in WNS this week. All pupils took part in four fantastic performances which were enjoyed by parents, grandparents, siblings, preschool pupils and many others!
Second Class
We have been very busy in second class the past few weeks. We have been preparing for the Christmas show as well as our visit to the airport for carol singing.
Purple Class
The purple class have been very busy in the last few weeks learning all about winter. We have been on nature walks and enjoyed playing on frosty mornings.
Happy Retirement to Postman Paul
A massive thank you to our postman Paul who is retiring today. We would like to wish him all the best for a fantastic retirement and thank him for the great work he has done for Walterstown National School over the years. He will be greatly missed!
Student of the Week Winners
Congratulations to our fantastic “Students of the Week”! Well done for all the great efforts!
Aqua Class
The aqua class were doing Christmas art. They were revising their phonics and making phonics posters.

Welcome to our website. It is a great honour and privilege for me to be the Principal of this school and continue the fantastic work done by my predecessors. It is my vision to continue the tradition of the school in providing a holistic, inclusive education within a happy caring environment for all pupils and staff. We offer a range of activities from sports to IT, music to drama and much more to our students. As a school, we welcome and encourage parental and community involvement. I have an open door policy and I urge all parents to take the opportunity to discuss any issue with me so that we can move forward together. I look forward to working with all members of the school community as we strive to provide the best education to our students.
